143 mi to Grand Canyon National Park, then 131 miles to Page Lake Powell Campground for a night.

This and others are views from the road

Entering the park amid a little rain and lots and lots of summer travelers.

Coming in from the South Entrance took about a half hour to finally get into the park, but oh so worth the wonder of this amazing place.

Wow!

Jim loves his Nikon!

A friendly GC character, not much like its gray Florida cousins.

A beautiful day.

We found someone to snap a picture.

Can you imagine how determined this scrubby pine has to be to survive at the top of this cliff?

Pics on the road to Page after leaving the Grand Canyon.

Crazy colors, right? They look like blue dunes.

Carl Hayden Dam in Page that created huge, beautiful, sprawling Lake Powell.

Power Substation

Highway 89 Bridge cuts right across the dam. Late afternoon shadows.

What a poser!

The afternoon light makes Jim think he is a great photographer.

Lake Powell late afternoon under an awesome sky!

Ok, Jim..enough is enough. He sure likes to take a lot of dam pictures.

Jim doesn’t know when to quit!

Come on Jim! Another old vehicle picture?

Yup! Dinner at Big John’s Texas BBQ. Not as good as Pearl’s in Micanopy, but we enjoyed every bite!

Sunset sky in the Safeway parking lot after dinner.
