After leaving Bryce Canyon we traveled to Beaver, UT to pick up some groceries at Mike’s Food Town. Highway 89N to UT-20 then I-15 into Beaver before we landed to camp outside of Minersville. Fun facts: Beaver is the birthplace of Butch Cassidy and the inventor of television Philo T., boasting a current population of 3,700, a bit more than Minersville which is 855!

We were able to stop for three nights at Minersville Lake Park which is on the south edge of Minersville Reservoir and heavily used by local families – lots of kids, ATVs, boats, and jet skis. A bit noisy but full of people living life and having fun. Don’t we all want that?

Our humble Minersville campsite..and the price is right, only $37/night.

Looking back toward Beaver – they got a lot of rain this day.

Same shot, but the next day.

We’ve enjoyed some beautifully dramatic skies, especially those that brought storms, always with strong gusty winds, thunder and lightning. It generally clears up at night though, giving gillions of stars a chance to shine and delight.
