Yeah, there are a lot of shots while on the road to Ely. A beautiful day.

Not a single cow in sight for miles and miles.

Horses? Where??

A pretty lonely road leading to Route 50, labeled “America’s Loneliest Road.” And it’s true – very few other vehicles and scant visible sign of life for miles and miles and miles. But lonely doesn’t mean ugly..just a very bad place for a breakdown.

Dang! Now we have to look out for prancing dear too.

Is this elk? All this wildlife and we only occasionally saw a few cows. Doesn’t seem right.

Margi asked, “Where is all the wildlife?” On the signs, Margi, on the signs.

Driving through the busy booming town of Garrison. Literally not a person or animal in sight. I sense ghosts.

Jim adding to the sticker-studded sign with Mark & Michelle’s Costa Rica stickers.

Costa Rica strikes again between the I and F in Life on the Utah side of the road.

The old homestead.

Driving through Baker. We’ll visit the Great Basin National Park tomorrow.

Baker fuel prices – we’ll wait until we get to Ely.

Love this! The sign promises “Museum of the Future COMING SOON.” Can’t wait.

Let’s generate some power.

Couldn’t that old homesteader find a level site?

We finally made it to Ely (pronounced eee-ly) Set-up our RV site and found dinner at a casino restaurant called Margaritas, obviously. Margi’s drink was way bigger than we expected lol. Before. And…

After. Disclaimer – Jim helped me finish this and then caught me with one of those photos that I begged him to delete. Don’t worry. I’m fine. Pretty good Mexican food too.
