Yep. At 2am the 30-amp plug blew! Dumb me (Jim) – I had the AC set to start when it got too hot (62 degrees) but I also had the space heater on (1500 watts). The space heater was on and warming up the trailer and then the AC kicked on. The demand on the 30-amp was too much and it fused the black (power) with the white (?) and caused a heat fuse and the 30-amp plug blew. We used Ryan’s power supply to run the fan for air circulation and made it through the night. In the morning, I went to start the truck, but it had a drain on the batteries – I don’t know whats causing it. I had previously attached a trickle charger, but the failed power did not charge the batteries enough to start the truck. I strung some power cords (115 volts) to a neighbor’s power pole (ours wouldn’t accept the plug) and set the truck on charge. 2 hours later I was able to start the truck, and I headed out to find a male 30-amp plug. After visits to several stores, I finally found one. Returned and set about cutting the failed plug and wire insulation and connecting the new plug. Around 1pm I was successful. Power back on. Yea!

The projects that I was supposed to be working on was delayed. We may have to stay another day. Oh well.

I went to visit the Ft. Logan National Cemetery – one of my projects and visited with the project superintendent. While I was out, Ripley picked up Margi and they are out having a great time while I am supposed to be working. Darn it.
